Veteran’s Memorial Project

The Inlet Veterans (Post #1402) are seeking to significantly rehabilitate the Veterans Memorial in front of the Town Hall in the hamlet of Inlet. The existing stone marker which was installed over 50 years ago is in a very sad state and does not sufficiently honor the men and women who have served their country and the Adirondacks.

The proposed Inlet Veterans Memorial will honor all six services: Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard, and Merchant Marines. Each service will have a separate marker and flag surrounding an Adirondack-style gazebo.

The total cost of this project is $28,400 and the Inlet American Legion is seeking to raise at least half of the funds through donations to this project. They aim to raise at least $5,000 on Adirondack Gives.  Click here to help them.

The project will be located in front of the Inlet Town Hall in Arrowhead Park. The Town of Inlet is currently implementing a revitalization project at Arrowhead and the Veterans Memorial will mark a substantial contribution to the overall appearance and attractiveness of the Park, as well as honoring service members.
