Fern Park is located within walking distance of the dowwntown, just off South Shore Road.

Fern Park is always open. Lights inside the pavilion stay on until 10:00 PM, and there is also a lighted trail that stays lit until 10:00 PM as well.

This park offers an enclosed pavilion with restrooms and a basketball court, an outdoor basketball court, baseball field, and miles of hiking and mountain biking trails. In the winter this park offers an enclosed ice skating rink with warming room, a sledding hill and miles of cross-country skiing and snowshoe trails.
